About Drew: Your Travel Expert
Hello! I'm Drew, and I’m excited to share my travel story with you.
Born to an English father and an Irish mother in The Hague, Netherlands, I was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by diverse cultures and experiences. My father worked in the oil industry, which gave me the incredible opportunity to live and travel across the globe. From The Netherlands to the UK, Nigeria, Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Australia, and the USA, I was exposed to different worlds from a young age, shaping my passion for travel and exploration.
After completing my studies in Business and Photography at university in the United States, my own personal journey began. A close friend who graduated six months before me landed a job with Carnival Cruise Line in Miami and, fortunately, passed my name along to his manager. The next thing I knew, I had a one-way ticket to Miami and embarked on a 13-year career at sea as a cruise ship photographer.
I started with Carnival out of Miami but had the opportunity to work on NCL, Royal Carribean, Costa Cruises, Holland America, Celebrity and finally finishing on Princess cruises. During my time on cruise ships, I travelled to nearly every continent (except Antarctica!) on 6-month contracts that I often extended, thanks to the friendships I made and the excitement of the itineraries. It was on one of those voyages that I met my wonderful wife, Tania, on the legendary Love Boat. We’ve been together ever since, and we have two beautiful children.
In 2003, I decided to put down roots and moved to New Zealand with Tania to start a new chapter on land. It was only natural to continue my love for travel, and I transitioned into the world of travel consultancy. I began working with Flight Centre, then moved on to House of Travel, Cruiseabout, and eventually Travel Associates,
accumulating 17 years of experience in the industry.

Now, I’m proud to have my own independent travel agency, still supported by Flight Centre’s Envoyage network, allowing me to give personalised attention to every client.
My passion for travel is rooted in my own adventures as I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to an extensive list of destinations around the world, and I bring that knowledge and experience to every trip I plan.
I handle each holiday myself, ensuring that your travel experience is curated to perfection.
